ABOUT THE ROLE

Scranton Shakespeare Festival is seeking a director for our upcoming production of Henry V as part of our Summer Season 15.

We are looking for directors with a strong connection to Shakespearean text and a passion for creating accessible, engaging theatre for contemporary audiences.

This production will be created and presented in repertory alongside other Season 15 productions. Because of this, exceptional organization, preparedness, and flexibility are essential qualities for this role.

Directors are welcome to propose their own cut of the script. A central thematic focus for this production, and for Season 15 as a whole, is faith, and we are excited to explore how this theme can be meaningfully embedded into the work.

• Casting: March

• Move to Scranton: June 8

• Rehearsals: June 9 to July 9

• Opening: July 10

Housing and travel are provided.
